Gender: Male

Interests: I love God, girls, guitar, piano, computers, school sometimes, friends, family, church, fun activities (especially ultimate frisbee), did I mention the LORD? Dogs, any technology, xbox (Halo is 'da bomb'), bringin' others to Christ, prayer, teaching, readin', laughin' histerically, and meeting new people, last but not least Jesus (Just to let you guys know, this isn't listed by priorities). Even though the love of God is broad, deep, and wide, I don't think that the English word "love" should be so encompassing. There should be 5 words like there are in the Greek Language.

This post is dedicated to the FUTURE!!!  Surely, the future is a phenomenal thing because it creates a sense of interest and unavoidable awareness of things to come.  I'm speaking of my future at Freed Hardeman University.  Soon enough, I will be packing my bags and leaving home for the first time.  I love what I got now, but I just know there is much more out there to be seen and lived.  Pray for me that my interest and focus will be fully rooted in the LORD, and I won't go off and do something stupid--messing things up.  By the way, I plan on majoring in Business.  I think that it is a practical application of my skills.  PR has always been a postitive characteristic about me, and I love being in control too.

Peace,

Busy day but O so easy classes is the norm for me.  Staying up to 1:00 in the morning isn't abnormal and waking up at 6:30 is average after an exhilarating night of PING PONG with the one and only John Dugas, A.K.A., 'Dugie.'

I've started reading a book called "Mere Christianity" by C. S. Louis--good book.

Emily Lowndes, a F.I.S.H. (Fellowship Inspire Share Hook, a 4-week program) leader spoke this morning about how God is enough to fill all of our desires and much more!!  She had a visual of a glove and other miscellaneous items we could put in it like a cell phone, car keys, etc, but the point being--that God is the Hand and our lives are the glove.  We can choose to fill the glove (our life) with good things or choose to fill is with bad things.  "Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaketh," Jesus said.  GARBAGE IN==GARBAGE OUT.  I even hear Christians use God's Name in vain all the time, and I will do better about correcting them in righteousness in the future.  As Christians we have the duty and obligation to help a fellow brother.  Also, NEVER FORGET:  "Let us do good to all men, especially to those of the household of FAITH."

LOVE HIM UNTIL HE RETURNS AND THEN DWELL WITH THE ALMIGHTY FOREVER, AMEN.

IN HIM,

DP

It's that normal but extraordinary time of year again.  Fall is boringly gorgeous for me!  The leaves have awesome shades of tinted leaves and cirrcocumulus clouds are no where to be found.  Just think about how incredible it is that God knows when every leaf falls to the ground or when every bird sings his song or even when I mess up all over again.

"Sing to the LORD a new song.  Sing to the LORD all the Earth.  Declare His Glory among the Nations.  His Marvelous deeds among all peoples.  Great is the LORD and most worthy to be praised.  He is to be feared above all God's."  Between David's heartfelt emotions for God, He uttered these words of adoration to the Father.

I mowed and raked leave today with the church youth group at Maurice and Linnie Batchelors house tonight and am going with Leslie Amacher the school tonight to be awarded "Most Dependable."  I suppose it wouldn't be considered very dependable if I didn't show up at all. lol

What is the DIFFERENCE between "ignorance" and "apathy."  The answer is......... I don't know, and I don't care.  Think about that a minute.  I'm not being a smartalike, but simply explaining the 2 definitions.  What is ignorance?  Stupidity.  What is Apathy?  Not Caring.  So now it makes since, if it didn't before, and if you're a blonde and didn't get it.  I fully understand.  That's to be expected, j/k.

Texas outlawed same sex marriage in their state today.  It's GOOD to see the LORD'S Work is still being done.

January 22, 1973 abortion was legalized in the case everyone knows as "Roe V. Wade."  We now have 56 students pregnant at our school.  I wonder how many of them have considered such a dreadful optional of certain death for their child.

Satan,

You can just cry, weep, moan, do whatever it is that you do that is unwholesome, stupid, evil, crazy, insane, abominable in the sight of God, hateful, despicable and low-down because you chose the wrong path.  I did not.  I love God.

In HIM,

I've got a story/parable/spiritual application.  Today at school, like I normally do, I went to weightlifting class to get more buff, but today was different than any other day to some degree.  The kids that typically make fun of this, ADHD (attention hyper deficient), manic depressive kid were hounding on him more than usual.  When he arrived at the bench press to do his weight sets, the other kids play jokes on him trying to get him to lift way more than he could ever possibly hope to lift and tell him to get off their press, even though he was there first.  I come into play when I tell them nicely to "shut-up."  The kid curses back at me and wonders if I want to fight.  David Lee, the picked on one, finished his work-out and went about our business, but who knows but God what will happen tomorrow?  Pray that I have the courage and stick up for my friend David.  Thanks in advance.  I trust you will.  STAY IN TOUCH WITH THE LORD AND NEVER LET HIS MERCIES LEAVE YOU. Q: Did you hear about the blonde coyote?
A: Got stuck in a trap, chewed off three legs and was still stuck.

In Him (meaning God--that I didn't capitilize 'Him' for no reason),

Derek W. Pavatte the 1st and probably the last.  Jesus said, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End."  Also, He says, "Anyone who follows me will not walk in darkness."  Darkness is the absence of God.  So without God in your life, you are in total darkness.  God is light.  In Him, there is no darkness.
